Rick Solo Shows

Hello Friends! Rick here....I'll be starting a new chapter in 2020 with more solo shows. Please check out my new, and evolving website at:

HAPPY NEW YEAR and thanks to all of you who continue to support live music. I hope to see you down the road!

We’ve added a Venmo account for Double Play! Venmo is an app you can download to your phone, and use to make payments to anyone without fees. All that is needed is to set up an account in your Venmo app, and then you can send money to friends and family by just using the appropriate designation.

A number of bands are now using this to accept tips or other payments - for us, the address is @rjduo.

Looking forward to seeing you at Bake’s Place on Wednesdays, or at other spots as listed in our Schedule!

2019 Off and Running!

Well, here we are in 2019!  We enjoyed some time off over the Christmas holidays, and are now back in our (more or less) regular schedule - that being the 1st Wednesdays of the month at Pogacha’s in Issaquah, and the 3rd and 4th Wednesdays at Bake’s Place in Bellevue. HOWEVER - things are changing at Pogacha’s - the owner has sold the restaurant, and so the last month for music there will be March. We have no idea if the new owners will be having music, but we do know it will be closed down for at least 2 months, and re-open as Enzo’s Italian Restaurant.

We continue at Bake’s Place, and look to be there on a regular basis. (Sometimes they have us there on Thursdays, so please check our schedule for any changes.)

We look forward to making some new friends this year, and want to thank everyone who has been coming out to listen!

A Hazy Shade of Winter is Approaching

We're off for the rest of the year...see you at Pogacha’s in Issaquah January 2nd!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season!!

We had a great time at Bake's Place on Halloween. Thanks to all who came by. We hoped you liked our Halloween specific tunes which were enhanced by the nearby fog machine.  We may actually keep a couple of those tunes in our regular rotation!

John and I were privileged to play a private party on November 11th - a surprise birthday party for Mariners broadcaster, Rick Rizzs. It was a fun filled afternoon we won't soon forget. We learned that Rick is not only a first class radio announcer but he can also lay down a first class version of Dean Martin's classic, That's Amore!  So good!  After an afternoon of fun, food and drink, the party concluded with the newly formed vocal group, The Rizzs Ensemble, performing a soulful version of the Eagles, Hotel California. Sorry folks, one night only!

Please join us Wednesday, October 17th, at Bakes's Place in Bellevue. Music starts at 8:00 pm, no cover!

We'll return to Bake's on HALLOWEEN night, October 31st !  We'll be goblin up some food and drink (and probably candy) so join us if you dare.  Music starts at 8:00 pm

On Wednesday October 3rd,  we're back for another Wind-Down Wednesday at Pogacha in Issaquah. Many of you will turn this into WINE-DOWN Wednesday, as well you should!  Start time is 6pm. Looking forward to seeing you!

On Friday, October 5th, we'll be at our neighborhood pub, The Scotsman Bistro, in Mukilteo. Make a day of it by playing a round of golf at nearby Harbour Pointe Golf course, then settle in at the Scotsman for dinner and drinks. Music starts at 8pm

Aug 23rd......Our past two Bake's Place performances were really fun thanks to all of you!  Last weeks wildfire smoke was no deterrent for seasoned patio dwellers!  Great group! Also, a special thanks to Gordon and Gretchen for tracking down a replacement for my recently damaged, and highly coveted BEATLES mug!!  That was very kind of you. John and I appreciate your friendship and all you do for us.

Last week, the smoke was a bit much so we moved the show inside. Again, we had a terrific and enthusiastic crowd. Very fun!

As some you may know, I've been battling a nasty low back issue the past couple months. I finally elected to have the required surgery - a minimally invasive procedure, to end my right leg sciatica. I had this done yesterday (August 24th) and I feel 100% better today and hopefully, on the road to full recovery. That said, I'm restricted from doing just about everything! At least for awhile. Too bad, I was hoping to operate some heavy machinery this weekend (weed eater). Oh, well!

Sept 24th....Had a fun private party at Bake's Place last week, perhaps the last patio performance for the year. Great to make some new friends.

John and I will be back at Bakes TOMORROW, September 26th, at 8pm INSIDE. No Cover. Great food. Will be doing some of my wife's favorite songs including Day in the Life, Whiter Shade of Pale, Abraham, Martin and John and a surprise or two.......after all, tomorrow is her Birthday!!!
